My partner and I were looking for a hotel with wellness area in the Vendée to spend a weekend there. We wanted to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary, and what better way to do it than with a romantic break? On the internet, we found several establishments but nothing really met our expectations. That was how we felt, until we discovered the Calme des Pins located in Les Sables d'Olonne. This charming 3-star hotel is just 250 metres from the ocean.
The wellness area at your disposal
On the website, the establishment offers several types of room, to suit everyone's needs. In our case, we chose the room for 2 people with a double bed. It was well equipped, with its own shower room, toilet, telephone, flat-screen TV, and so on. On arrival we were given a courtesy tray, consisting of a kettle, coffee and tea. Naturally, we took advantage of the balneo pool area to relax a little and do a few lengths. Our real pleasure was the relaxing Spa area. The jacuzzi was very relaxing, and the 40-minute private sessions were ideal.
The real strength of this hotel with wellness area at Vendée is its location. Throughout our stay we didn't need to use our car. We could do everything on foot! For example, we went to the Zoo, which is only 800 metres from Le Calme des Pins. Walking was our main activity as we wanted to discover the surrounding area. In town, there were lots of small shops. On the harbour side, many restaurants are set up on the quayside, so our dinner was very pleasant.
