Ah! the 20th century arrives, at the beginning of 1900, and this great leap forward in modern technology! The internal combustion engine progressed, which allowed the means of transport to develop, electricity was democratised, running water and sewage systems were installed along the main access roads and all this contributed to the development of tourism, in this case the seaside resort of Les Sables d'Olonne.

1906, construction of the Hôtel Les Pins in the Presidents' district, very close to the beach, the Casino des Pins, the pine forest and the former Grand Hôtel des Pins. Shortly afterwards, history reminded us of the political instability in Europe and France suffered two major conflicts: the First World War (1914-1918) and the Second World War (1939-1945).
During the "Thirty Glorious Years", the Calme des Pins hotel expanded twice, with the first 15-room building being built in 1955, followed by a second in 1967.
